In early April BRIDGES Global Coalition was officially approved as a UNESCO MOST Global Sustainability Science Coalition. It was a long and auspicious journey, with several meetings and workshops between 2019-2020 that brought together experts from different institutions and countries around the world.
The MOST Intergovernmental Council, Management of Social Transformations is one of UNESCO’s international science programmes, and the only one based entirely in the Social and Human Sciences.
Between May 24th and 25th, the Inaugural General Assembly will take place. During this official inauguration, the plan of action for BRIDGES during the coalition’s first phase of activity will also be approved.
I am immensely proud to be part of this team, as vice president of UISPP (Union Internationale des Sciences Préhistoriques et Protohistoriques) and chairman of its Scientific Commission on Cultural Heritage Management.
