New IPT-UNESCO Chair on Humanities and Cultural Integrated Landscape Management

On October 24 will be the launch of the new chair of UNESCO at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar / Portugal.

 

The Chair, entitled “Humanities and Cultural Integrated Landscape Management”, has as its main goal foster research and its application on the Humanities specific contribution to daily landscape management, thus meeting the strategy of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 Agenda, through future leader’s capacity building.

 

Specific objectives aim to establish a global research, education and innovation network, to demonstrate the specific use of the Humanities in daily life, to potentiate the impact of knowledge production and knowledge sharing and to educate new generations of qualified leaders within a transdisciplinary and creative framework, that will also allow humanities to directly connect with natural and formal sciences, technology and the arts.
